I wanted to try out a new bi-weekly thing on the blog (Designer Crush) where I search for designers with impeccable style and share some of their work with you!
First up is Celerie Kemble.
The first time I heard of Celerie Kemble was when I was on a quest for some good design coffee table books. Hers was on my list.

The cover immediately grabbed my attention (for obvious reasons)!
I tracked down where this cover photo is from and found it that she and two other designers worked on the Manhattan House, where they were given blank slate apartments/condos to design and stage.
Here are some more pics of the Manhattan House, Celerie Kemble style.

I love the high contrasts created between the wall color and the furniture choices, definitely my kind of room. And what I wouldn't give for that pink coffee table!

Over-sized, simple art is an attention grabber in the foyer and I can almost feel the topiaries, the texture is so vivid.

Here's some of Kemble's 'brighter' work.

A very tropical feel in this bedroom. The purple velvet bench is absolutely stunning!

Chippendale chairs, a coral chandy, and a fresh fern and flowers. Dining room perfection.

This is a bath I could get used to. Very serene, even with those sculptures there :)

And lastly I have every woman's dream: a giant walk-in closet complete with fireplace, center island, massive mirrors, and high gloss walls.
Hope you enjoyed Celerie's work as much as I do!

that closet is my all time fave! I love her style.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it gorgeous? In my dreams :)
