I discovered Thomas O'Brien while perusing through bedding at Target. I was looking for something with a classic, masculine feel and Thomas O'Brien had just what i was looking for.
From there my interest peaked so I began looking a little further into his work.
O'Brien is a designer based in NYC. he owns Aero Studios, is partners with hickory Chair, Target (obviously), and Circa Lighting as well as others.
In addition O'Brien has written a book, American Modern, which is a great description of his design style and has made it to my must read list!

I love the use of layering use din his spaces and the warm feel he is able to create. I also enjoy the lean towards masculine design that many of his spaces employ.

The raw wood desk is gorgeous. This space employs several textures to give more appeal to a neutral color scheme.

I love everything about this eat-in kitchen! The wall color, textured appearance of the cabinet inlays, the open frames of the chairs, dark hardwood, and everything else!
