Get the Look

This foyer, designed by Ferreira Design, is one of my all time favorite looks! It's simple with it's achromatic style, but packs a big punch with a large brushstroke wall-covering.

I love that the design on the wall is imitated by the framed art on a smaller scale.

Since achromatic style is such a timeless, classic look and is popping up all over in the design world, I thought it would be fun to break down this foyer to get the look yourself!

The biggest impact is in the graphic brushstroke wall-covering which was pretty impossible to find. You can get custom made wallpapers from Porter Teleo ( as used by Kelly Wearstler in her home, which has a similar appearance) to achieve the look. Any sort of graphic/abstract wallpaper will do or this could be a DIY opportunity to use your walls as a canvas!

The next big pieces are the white lacquered console table and the zebra bench, which keep with the black and white theme.
(I also found two other different size options for the console table here and here).

After these three components have been found it's all a matter of styling. Add a gilded frame to some simple, graphic art, a few books, some flowers and an objet, and you have created this look!
